We shared a great neighbourhood,
And quickly friendships formed.
We enjoyed casual dinners together.
We laughed and toasted one another
At the very best lake gatherings.
Keg dinners. Bond fires.
A bottle of Crown, the other Gibson.
Laughter booming into the nights
Amidst a steady stream of stories.
Kind, oh so kind buddy and friend,
We never thought you'd leave us
So quickly without goodbyes.
With laden hearts we think of you.
